Who are we?

Corp.  is a family owned business, Established in June 2002.

   The President is a retired Fire Captain from the San Francisco Bay Area. He served about 13 years (11 paid, 2 as volunteer) before he was retired because of injuries. He was promoted to Captain in only 7 years. He was acting Training Officer for a couple of new recruit training classes. He assisted the San Francisco Fire Dept. by sitting on Oral Boards, and critiquing the first few San Francisco Airport disaster drills. 
   He was awarded the California State Firemen's Association's Award for Valor in 1975. He was among the first EMT's in the San Francisco area, and active on the Paramedic Committee for San Mateo County when they were first establishing the paramedic system.
   He is a third generation Clock Maker, and builds and programs computers for a couple of companies.
   He has been involved with the mixing and distribution of these products for 7+ years now.

  One Vice President is a machinist for a prominent bearing company. He has experience as a auto spray painter and has an eye for color. He is a car buff, owning a 1951 Mercury with suicide doors. (The car is from family, so it's almost a one owner car!)

   The other Vice President is a qualified Draftsperson, not currently exercising her trade. She worked for Western Electric for a number of years. She has run a ranch almost single handedly, done some remarkable furniture refinishing, and her best job to date has been being 'Granny'.

   Our Secretary/Treasure is a Registered Nurse, working on the Medical wing of a large local hospital. She also like cars, and has become a NASCAR follower. She grew up in a 'Fire Department Family' and could be said to 'have it in her blood'.

How did we become involved in this industry?

   If you have ever been around a Firefighter, you know that he/she lives and breathes it. Even though they might get out of the field for some reason, it's still in them forever.
   The President has worked with the makers of these products for the last 7+ years, giving technical assistance, doing distributor/reseller training, and setting up distribution systems among other things. This extensive experience has shown him that the business models out there for flame retardants don't work!
   The business models that don't work are the ones where a wannabe distributor puts up X thousand dollars to 'purchase' a territory in which he/she has exclusive rights to sell. They offer absurd markups on the products and about zero help with getting the product out to the customer. These make the company offering them lots of money, but they almost have to fail because there is no emphasis on selling products. Their emphasis is on selling 'real estate' (territories). We've seen company after company fail, and the general public cheated out of protection because of these schemes.
   We are looking to get the products out to the public, reducing the pain, suffering and deaths that needlessly occur each year, because the public is not educated about what can be done to keep them safe. We hope to let a large number of people make a reasonable profit from supplying this need.

Where does our product come from?

  Our Flame Retardant Products are manufactured by Southern Polymer Tech, Inc. of Hickory, North Carolina. They are manufactured under a Underwriters Laboratories quality assurance program. Underwriters makes period inspections to make sure that the product is manufactured to the specifications that they tested it at. We are proud to carry the UL label.

What is our business model?

  The difference in our business model to the other Flame Retardant Companies is Simple! We don't sell territories to Resellers! We sell products, and products only.
   To be a reseller with us, you must do these things.
   1.   Have a business license and tax resale license where you do business.
   2.    Make an initial purchase (very small, only what you want to stock)
   3.   Represent yourself in a professional courteous and honest manor.
  
   That's it.. No $15,000 to $20,000 up front money.
